Steps to recover access when OTP emails never arrive

Quick checks (Member):

  • - Check spam/junk and Promotions/Updates tabs.
  • - Add sender to contacts and use Resend code.
  • - Verify email spelling.

Operator actions:

  1. 1) Verify outbound email events are generated.
  2. 2) Search logs: accepted/delivered/bounced.
  3. 3) For strict domains, ask member to allowlist the sender domain.
  4. 4) As fallback, manually verify email from back office (where permitted) and document override.

Platform tips:

  • - Monitor deliverability; alert on OTP failures.
  • - DKIM/SPF alignment healthy; consider rotating IP if throttled. Escalate when >10 users/day affected, domain pattern emerges, or OTP queue delays >2 minutes.
