Onboarding Guide: Operator Platform - Zones
Adding Zones under Locations
Divide your site into zones (e.g. Aquarium, Safari). Draw boundaries on the map. Zones can have custom hours, accessibility info, and restricted areas hidden from navigation.
- Zones are added inside a site boundary to subdivide a site into meaningful areas. Zones are used to help locate points of interest, enclosures and facilities so should be created in advance.
- A zone boundary can be turned on or off in the audience map overview together with an information pin displaying zone information. Accessibility options can also be added at zone level and can be displayed in-app.
- Zones can be created with custom opening hours, allowing for more precise audience information relative to a particular area of a site.
Draw out the zone using the mapping tool at the top left of the map and use the status option below the map window to determine if the zone is also displayed on maps in the app. - A zone can also be marked as restricted and shown on the map as closed. In this situation the in-app navigation will avoid that area. This is useful for areas under construction or for safety reasons.
