Dartmoor Zoo Selects
n-gage.io to Support Visitor Engagement,Fundraising and Revenue Growth.
Dartmoor Zoo has selected n-gage.io to power its digital visitor engagement
strategy, deploying the platform’s guest experience app and operational intelligence
software to help strengthen supporter relationships, increase fundraising
opportunities and drive visitor revenue growth.
The investment forms part of Dartmoor Zoo’s ongoing commitment to delivering
exceptional visitor experiences whilst supporting the long-term sustainability of its
conservation, education and animal welfare programmes.
By connecting visitor engagement, personalised communications and operational
insights through a single platform, Dartmoor Zoo will be able to engage visitors
before, during and after their visit, creating more opportunities to increase
fundraising participation, encourage repeat visitation, strengthen long-term supporter
relationships and maximise the value of every visitor interaction.
Developed specifically for visitor attractions, zoos and wildlife parks, the n-gage.io
platform combines a fully branded guest mobile app with a powerful management
system that enables operators to better understand visitor behaviour, communicate
more effectively with guests and create more personalised experiences throughout
the visitor journey.
As an independent conservation and education charity, Dartmoor Zoo relies on
admissions, donations, experiences, retail and catering revenues to help fund its
important work. The deployment of the platform will help strengthen these income
streams whilst providing visitors with a richer, more connected and engaging
experience.
Visitors are able to access interactive maps, daily schedules, animal information,
educational content, wayfinding tools and location-aware experiences directly
through the app. By delivering relevant information and personalised content at the
right time and place, the platform helps visitors make the most of their day while
increasing engagement with the Zoo’s animals, conservation programmes,
experiences and fundraising initiatives.
The platform also creates new opportunities to promote donations, campaigns,
events, experiences and retail offers throughout the visitor journey, helping to
generate additional support and revenue whilst reinforcing the Zoo’s wider
conservation mission.
In addition, the software provides enhanced visitor intelligence and operational
insights, enabling the team to better understand visitor behaviour, identify
opportunities to improve engagement, measure campaign effectiveness and make
more informed decisions around operations, marketing, fundraising activity, visitor
engagement and revenue generation. These insights will help the Zoo maximise the
value of every visitor interaction whilst supporting long-term financial sustainability.
David Gibson, CEO of Dartmoor Zoo, said,
"As a charity, we’re continually looking for innovative ways to engage our visitors,
strengthen support for our conservation and education work, and generate the
revenues needed to sustain and develop the Zoo for the future. The n-gage.io
platform provides us with an exciting opportunity to better connect with our visitors
while creating new opportunities to increase fundraising participation, visitor spend
and long-term engagement with our conservation and education mission.”
“The findings from the recent UK Zoo & Wildlife Attraction Benchmark Survey
highlighted many of the key challenges and opportunities facing our sector,
particularly around visitor engagement, revenue generation, operational efficiency
and the effective use of data. This investment aligns strongly with our focus on
addressing those priorities while continuing to deliver exceptional visitor experiences
and maximising the value and impact of every visit."
The partnership follows a period of continued investment and development at
Dartmoor Zoo as the organisation focuses on strengthening its long-term
sustainability and delivering world-class conservation, education and visitor
experiences. The Zoo has also recently been recognised under BIAZA's enhanced
accreditation framework, which reflects its continued commitment to the highest
standards of animal welfare, conservation, education, sustainability and operational
excellence.
Bryan Hoare, Founder and CEO of n-gage.io, said:
"Dartmoor Zoo is an organisation with an incredible story, a clear sense of purpose
and an important charitable mission. We’re delighted to be working alongside David
and the team to help them deepen visitor engagement, strengthen supporter
relationships and unlock new opportunities for fundraising, supporter engagement
and commercial performance. Across the zoo sector, organisations are facing
increasing financial pressures whilst also being asked to deliver greater
conservation, education and welfare outcomes.”
“Our platform is designed to help zoos better understand and engage their visitors,
increase the value of every visit and create more opportunities to convert visitors into
long-term supporters. Through a combination of visitor engagement tools, real-time
communications and data-driven insights, Dartmoor Zoo will be able to strengthen
fundraising performance, visitor spending and supporter retention while continuing to
deliver exceptional experiences for its guests. Ultimately, the more effectively a zoo
can engage and understand its visitors, the greater its ability to generate sustainable
revenues that can be reinvested into conservation, education and animal welfare.
We are excited to support Dartmoor Zoo as it continues to grow its impact and
inspire future generations to care about wildlife and conservation."
The n-gage.io platform is already used by leading zoos, wildlife parks, museums,
heritage attractions and destination organisations across the UK and internationally,
helping operators enhance visitor experiences, gain valuable insights and drive
sustainable revenue growth.
For Dartmoor Zoo, the deployment represents an important investment in the
charity’s future, providing the tools, insights and digital engagement capabilities
needed to deepen visitor and supporter relationships, increase repeat engagement
and generate sustainable revenues that can be reinvested into conservation,
education and animal welfare programmes for years to come.
